Ian R. Blain
Ian was born and raised in Toronto. He obtained a BA from the University of Toronto and a law degree from Queen’s University Law School in Kingston.
Over the years, Ian has been a member of various organizations in the community. He is a former president of the Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce. He has also been on the Board of Directors of Alexandra Hospital and served two years as Chairman of the Board (2017-2019).
Ian practices in the areas of real estate, wills and estates, and corporate law.
Craig J. Potter
B.A. (Hons.), J.D.
Craig was born in the town of Woodstock, Ontario and currently resides in the town of Ingersoll, Ontario. Craig is a graduate of the University of Waterloo where he obtained a bachelor’s degree with a major in History and a minor in Psychology.
He is also a graduate of the law school of the University of Western Ontario where he obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Craig was called to the bar of Ontario in 2010 and has been an associate lawyer with the law firm of Ian R. Blain, Barrister & Solicitors since 2011.
Craig is also the current secretary of the Family Law Association of Oxford County and is a member of the Ingersoll’s branch of Rotary International.
Craig’s practice is focused primarily on family law, estate administration, wills/powers of attorney, and real estate.
Amanda M. Howlett
B.A. (Hons.), J.D.
Amanda was born in Newfoundland but has lived in Ontario most of her life. Amanda was called to the Bar in 2015 and worked at a real estate firm in Toronto before moving back to Oxford County. She joined Ian R. Blain, Barristers & Solicitors as an associate in 2020.
Amanda is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Contemporary Studies, as well as the University of Western Ontario where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Oxford County Law Association. She is currently a member of the board of directors for the Ingersoll Chamber of Commerce.
Amanda’s practice focuses on real estate, wills, estate planning and corporate law.
